George F. Cook III, President

George Cook is a fourth generation leader who is committed to building a successful construction company based on the core values of integrity, excellence and service.  He utilizes 30 years of construction industry knowledge to deliver an excellent project experience for every customer.

As President, George has a commitment to and a reputation for treating customers fairly.  He has built a team of experienced and professional field personnel who bring a spirit of cooperation to the job site.  George and his team are known for going above and beyond basic requirements to meet the ever-changing needs of a project.

As a Project Manager, George has served a variety of owners and construction managers including: the State of Minnesota, Minneapolis Public Schools, , Hennepin County, Ryan Companies, Adolfson & Peterson, Kraus Anderson, Northern States Power, and Polar Semiconductor.

Managing a wide range of construction projects, George has extensive experience in municipal, education, industrial, manufacturing, libraries, multi-family housing, performing arts, and church facilities. 

George began his career with George F. Cook Construction as a laborer in 1971.  He earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Montana State University and returned to the company as a Project Manager and Estimator in 1978.  George succeeded his father, George F. Cook Jr., as President in 1993. 

Married and the father of two sons, George enjoys architecture, golfing, reading, home improvement projects and spending time with his family.
